This weekend’s Peace in the East Festival -- PIE -- aims to unify millennials whose parents emigrated from East Africa

Thank you to the Philadelphia Inquirer's Valerie Russ for taking the time to write this article and highlight our new diaspora nonprofit's Peace In the East Festival Wknd | Presented by Selam Committee!

Thank you to everyone who came out to last night's TRAP + RAP & RnB - Vol.1: Concert Edition (PIE Festival KICK-OFF) opening first-gen concert to kickoff our festival weekend!

TODAY join us for our centerpiece events! HAPPENING NOW the Selam Committee presents the Peace in The East | Free African Daytime Festival into 6PM! Followed for the NIGHT by the PIE-Fest East African Culture Concert at Union Transfer, a traditional cultural music experience from which a portion of ticket sale proceeds will also go to benefit the Justice for Kaleb recovery fund! There was also be traditional East African food being served at the concert!

And we'll be capping it all off SUNDAY with a Farewell & Thank You Cookout at Pentridge Station Pop-Up Brunch at Greensgrow West!

Come out, have fun, enjoy some awesome community building and cultural events, and do so knowing your supporting unity, peace, and more than one good cause!
